Every Friday at Terrington we have an Enhancement Day - known as Fantastic Friday!

As a result of Parents Forums and discussions with individuals the school have researched the impacts of alternative timetabling in school. The findings were that academic studies undertaken during four days of the week, followed up by a creative enhancement day leads to increased progress and attainment for all.

As a result of this our timetable now involves more P.E provision and exciting curriculum enhancements on Fantastic Fridays.

Each Friday morning the children will take part in creative maths and English activitiesIn the afternoon children will select workshops run by staff from across both schools throughout the year. Workshops will change half termly and staff will move across schools when required so they can share their strengths with all children. Examples of workshops are computing, film making, guitars, science experiments, gardening, pottery, dance, tag rugby.

Sporting Enhancements

We also propose to offer taster sessions for sports and activities at the end of each half term.

Some of the things we have done are - visited a Trampoline Park, had a den building session, experienced indoor climbing, been bowling, had golf and go karting sessions and enjoyed an inflatable obstacle course!
